Agreed - bet they had the thermal imaging camera out as well!

It says they did too!!

What happened to just listening to where the voices are coming from?!

On a more serious note, I wonder whether the tree was ever inspected. By the looks of the fracture point there should have been some signs that something was up?

blimey, just what you need after a days graft. sit down, sup your pint...and a willow falls on your head!. I've warned lots of people about dangerous trees over the years, 99% of them assumed I was just touting for work. Some of the trees subsequently came down and caused damage (thankfully to my knowledge, no injuries). If people can't listen to advice, then they have to live with the consequences. Glad nobody was seriously hurt by this one...luckily!

On the Anglia News, they said that 2 people were trapped under the tree, it fell at 5pm when there were several people in the beergarden (which the tree had fallen right accross) The fire brigade were cutting the people out and there were rescue dogs and thermal imaging used to find the people, and also see if there were any other unconscious. It said that two were quite badly injured and were still in hospital the following day:thumbdown:
