I've run a Zubat for years.....it's only on empty now and then....

Also have the Samurai Ichban, which is flimsy blade, but At ISA Hawaii, a Japanese Samurai rep said they've beefed up the blade a bit. I'll try another. It cuts very well and holds an edge---on apapr with the Zubat, but is fragile....the old design that is.

I just got a slew of Zubat blades cheap..on ebay..and a bunch of other stuff...pole saw blades, some 1.4m FlingIt, a nice shot pouch, Zubat 11 fo0t pole saw for $60...!!!

Today's job did not involve the quiet tools, though.....

3 firs, 4000 board feet.. a full log truck load. butt log was 1130 bf and only 26 feet long!!

Corona 13" curved, Though I've tried the Zubat.

I can get them razor re-sharpened for 8$.

But Bodean, both those blades are impulse hardened...so they won't hold an edge for long after sharpening....

still worth it for the pricey Silky blades, I reckon.

Can't use a feather file on them, has to be a diamond stone, I think....

I just don't think the price of a Silky is that much

more long lasting than 2-3 Fanno's.

I could be wrong. I have a silky at work and it's okay, It doesn't have a red cape or anything on it.

Jeez did I say Corona, What a dolt.

I've only used Fanno's, Gotta support Chico.
