I watched Watch Dog the other day about rip off plumbers who charged around £600 to unblock a sink, however the expert stated that an acceptable charge for this should be around £100. If you remember a few weeks ago with the tree surgeon who charged £180 to fell and remove three conifers, supplied 3 men and a chipper? So according to watch dog it's OK for one plumber to charge £100 to unblock a sink but a tree surgeon is a rip on £180 for three men and a chipper??? :confused1:

 

It must be true that tree workers are in the same category as refuse collectors?

I think your being a but harsh. I mean the plumber will probably have had a quite expensive adjustable spanner with him. Plus think of the cost of all his ppe.

Plus think of the costs and time inolved in removing all the waste.

 

I.e chucking the removed rubber washer out the window on the way home.
