Ha ha!

I was quoting RRP's to avoid confusion.

The BG86 is great machine, and the anti-vibe is awesome, which is pretty important when clearing after a big job.

I will buy one when my blower packs up rather than buy the attachment. I'm not saying the attachment is no good, it's just more convenient for my set up.

One annoying thing is why does the pruner head cost so much? Can't get one for less than £150, and let's face it, it's only a bar, sprocket and oil tank, when you can buy an entire Stihl (small) chainsaw for the same amount?

Crazy!

Rev that farty engine up when you get it today!

The pruner head will be dear as they need to get money back on the R & D that went into it. Also getting the money back on additional tooling to make it. Anything is cheaper to produce in bulk and i'd imagine they sell a lot more ms170's than those heads.:thumbup1:

That must be why, but it's still staggering that they can leave out a chainbrake, switchgear, casing, handle and engine, and still charge more!

I'm off to buy a 170 to gaffer tape to my kombi system....:001_tt2:

What attachments have you gone for initially Ady?

have been VERY reliably informed that it is just as juicy as the big hand held.... I think i might buck the trend and go for it... failing that it'll make a great rocket pack for fancy dress parties...

it's on the birthday list from my mum ...
