leather scabbards are the way, i got a pouch for the old sectures aswell, handy as well doing small pruning jobs. then just take em out for big swings;p

Yup, its big alright. 420 mm blade.

 

The main reason I like it is for reaching out and hooking lowering ropes into me.

 

Also it does cut pretty fast.

Got me one of they weavers recently not quite the same black and got a velcro bit to hold the saw in, much better than the origanal scabbard a fine buy there.:thumbup:

Depends whether its one of the newer induction hardened blades, or one of the original re-sharpenable ones. 10 seconds with a file will tell you.
