vt failure causes bad fall

Ever tried the swabish?

Again, another good knot to progress onto a slack tending system with. Will take a bit more of a tug to pull the slack through but once again will grip without any concerns over fiddling.

Yep, always looks weird doesn't it? that exposed inner core.

 

Prefer the double fisherman's on the Marlow, mostly use double fishermans.

Yeah, looks well wrong. I really want some hitch cord splicing. Neaten up my rig. Gonna be learning to splice soon (hopefully)

That looks a good rig. Just make sure you clip the other krab on before you start to climb. Haha

 

8mm sirius on 13mm honey bee, should, once worn in grip really nicely. Just to show how everyone is different, I would probably have those "legs" slightly shorter.

Difference between a distel and vt is how easily the vt "breaks" making it advance alot smoother, but because of the slight extra friction on advancing the distel will grip 99% of the time when you sit back without any real fiddling.

 

thats why i use this combo because it grips 99% of the time. Thats what i want from my hitch. I can live with it being slightly slower advancing but i want it to grip everytime. Thats why i think some people (me included) just dont get on with the VT, it NOT consistent.

I see my work as training for competitions now so i need my hitch to advance as smoothly and quickly as possible.

:lol:all that matters is that it holds your body weight isn't it? Test it by towing your trick and if that works then it'll be fine:lol:
