Hey guys

I want to be able to practice some knots, ive got The Tree Climbers Companion and a rock climbing knot book to practice and learn my knots from, but i dont actually have any rope.

Can anyone suggest what i can use to practice my knots with?

i've tried some cheap rope from B&Q but doesnt work very well,

Cheers

- Nick

I'll send you a couple of bits of different ropes to practice on, sorry i should have given you some when you were in the other day. Let me know the name you bought your stuff under so i can get your address of the computer.

I have been on a learning spree for the last week.

I have 2 friction hitches. an accender hitch

scaffold knot baffeled me for a while.

Munters hitch is still freaking annoying me for something so simple!

Knots are great. What is the best climbing related knot book?

There are some really good websites that now have videos of knot tying - I'll hook out some of my books and let you know; but in the meantime the websites are good for info Mr Bish
