That's no Blue Tit. Looks more like a young Sylvia atricapilla to me, otherwise known as the Blackcap. Cracking shot though.:thumbup1:

 

There was originally a bit of doubt on the Id.

I stood around for a couple of minutes to see which adults were about, and only saw a couple of Blues & Greats.

So put two & three together.

 

I wouldn't however have come up with Blackcap though.

 

So thanks for that. :001_smile:

 

On trawling through some images, I see blue young have yellow band above their brows.

Sorry lads nesting time. Traditionally forestry used to stop for six weeks.(April 30th)

Under the Countryside and rights of way act (CROW)

YOU SHOULD SURVEY THE AREA, if no new nest carry on.
