Ah but I'm not asking which are the best, I'm asking which ones have the stronger material around the front upper thigh area.

You know the stuff thats fairly indestructible usually around the knee and ankle area.

Does such a pair of chainsaw pants exist?

Thats where mine wear out due to the way I sharpen the saw but mainly from burns off the 020 exhaust.

You could always try using your saw differently. I'll grant you hi-flex aren't the most tough trousers you can get but they definitely stop chainsaws. As soon as you start paying for your own PPE you learn to look after it. If you employer provides it, which he should by law, then he ought to be having words with you about burning holes in them.

You could always check out who you are posting about before you try for condescending post of the year award. :laugh1:

Cheers for the info fellas.

I thought the gladiators were tough (Mozza mentioned it awhile ago) but when I looked at the pics I just thought it was around the knee and ankle.

I just cant bring myself to part with £200 no matter how good they are!

I do WISH I had a nice employer to pay for them though:sneaky2:

Although I do know have a plan to buy some SIP progress A for the summer and maybe some Strech Air or equivalent C for the winter. :thumbup1:

Once again cheers for the comments and it hasnt fell on deaf ears although I may have made it sound like it did (ask for opinions then dismiss them!:blushing:)

Oh and Paul Jenks I'll try and do something about my chanisaw technique eh.

Buck your ideas up Mark, Or else the boss will be having words with you

To be honest mate, I had the same "shall i spend nearly £200 on pants" thing you've got in your head, Honestly tho, i cant praise them enough (as you can probably tell :blushing:)

They will out last any other pants by a long way, Ive had mine 7 months and they still look brand new.

Cue the , your not working hard enough comments :laugh1:
