Do you find the OP is better at gripping the rope when spliced or with fishermans terminations?

Ive never been a big fan of OP but i spliced some up and it seemed to work alot better. The stiffer tails on the splice seem to help in opening and closing the hitch. Just curious what others have found?

I've got some OP, Conveniently the place I ordered it accidentally sent me 2, so I guess it's no loss if i don't like it as I can sell the other. I run a VT and had to put a Knut in the bottom to help it grip, but sometimes it's a nightmare to pull through. Maybe now it's worn in a bit I can remove the knut and it'll be fine.
