Maybe, but I really dont want the hassle of making up different mounts, and as the Bruunett are becoming rare, I would like to keep it original.

The current engine was completely rebuilt, but when the crank was ground, it was'nt Xrayed afterwards, and it broke upon start up. All I really need is a replacement crank and a GOOD diesel engineer.

What experience have people had with re-con engines?

Mine has always been bad, would always go for a good s/h over re-con,have I just been unlucky?

Spent good money rebuilding an engine myself and they didnt pick up a crack in the cylinder at exactly the area the piston moved,no water in the oil just an engine that got hot very quick. Was hard fault to find and costly.

Good luck finding an engine Ed.
