  1. if your thinking of buying that make sure your friends with a welder, they have a habit of cracking up badly round the infeed pan and under the engine mounts, they have small wheels which dont like being towed over rough ground and if its still fitted with the original axle they suffer from collapsed suspension
  2. The MB trac is now produced by a company called Werner in germany with a bias more towards forestry than agriculture now called the WF Trac http://www.werner-trier.com/
  3. The entry price seemed steep but i ordered on line which came out at £13 the on line ticket info gave you this no concessionary rates as far as i could see but speaking to one exhibitor they were hacked off that all and sundry could come in via the footpaths either walking or on bikes when they had to pay

  6. well they wouldnt have heard of it none of them there now have worked with the chippers very long i suspect so they have no history of them, when i worked with the bandit dealer in 2002 we had mods we were doing on the 90,s as they were picking up wood into the top roller space and then stalling the roller the problem also existed on the bottom roller but not on all machines, the build tolerances from the factory varied depending on which"good ole boy" happened to be welding that day, no 2 chippers were built to the same measurements and i,m sure they made up some of the measurements as they went
  7. they used to have a similar problem on 90,s a few years ago there was a mod which involved welding in bits to the housing to lower the tolerances either side of the wheel if i recall
  8. Bandits sold in the uk can often be referred to as a 90W also not just US built machines as Ed says it refers to a wider chassis over standard If it was assembled by Kendall machinery(99-2004) or Global(2004-) there would be a plate usually on the side of the drawbar or the chassis, but they can get knocked off, sometimes there is a serial number stamped in the flat space next to the rear disk bearing mounting or on the top edge of the drawbar. any pics?
  9. Geez what sort of house does he have:bowdown: Ed i,ll ask at work our parts man is into internationals in a big way he may know of one locally
  10. that would have an LOR unit on then, i may have had a hand in assembling it if it was in 2000 as i was working for the importer then
  11. what sort of age is it ? they swapped about between LOR and Electronic solutions for the stress controls, the LOR ones didnt like damp they would mist up and if its a deutz engine they used to suffer from vibration as well as did ignition boxes causing wiring trouble as the wires would vibrate off inside the box
  12. we,ve just had analogue tachos fitted to a couple of vehicles where i work both pre-05 regs and they were around the £450 mark each both done at a Lucas service centre
  13. its for grinding out those small stumps you find in town gardens:scared: it is actually a rear mounted one but you could front mount with a different gearbox for the drive

  17. yes it did go to scotland we fitted lights etc on it as well and had to uprate the front springs and if i recall we also fitted check straps or chains to the rear to limit the travel, to be honest it was too large really for the front mount but the customer specified it so we built it
