so found a job for corp of London (Epping) now self employed.

Hi Pat,

always wondered why you move on.

Lack of progression,

Change of regime,

or just ready to go it alone?

Epping must of provided you with a huge range of variety in terms of tree work.

Great site.

I started out doing Grounds Maintenance and was subbing out Treework. Got fed up of being messed about by Tree Firms so brought it in house. Love the job and trying to do more tree work than grounds maintenace now!

Dropped out of Uni after 2 years of a degree. Decided to go to Brazil to work. Needed money for the flight etc so got a job with a tree surgeon who had worked for my folks. Started burning branches and general groundworks. Then got into climbing within a few months and after the 7 months i did the boss offered me a full time place after Brazil. Made foreman after 2 years and worked there for 4 and a half years in total. Went solo this year and loving it. Its more than a job but a lifestyle and its def for me.

suffered from panic attacks due to heavily smoking weed from age 14-17. quit smoking panic attacks continued. decided best way to stop them would be to do somthing that would scare me so much i would have to deal with the fear, last panic attack i had was in college after getting my first anchor point. stayed up their till it went then came down and havent had once since.

After 12 years RAF and Army I had a succession of crappy jobs. I was doing a bit of rock-climbing at the time and saw an add for a climber in the local rag. They took me on as a groundie and I was climbing within 3 months. 15 years later I'm still shinning up trees......some people just never learn! :001_cool:
