How/why did you get into treework?

Fed up with crap, boring, badly paid jobs. I heard from a cousin that you cold earn money climbing trees. Ever sinse I was a kid I enjoyed climbing trees (most of the time to nick fruit with my mates, in those long summer nights of southern Portugal).

So went to college got some background knowledge, then got my first job got experience and really like it...

If someone would have told me then - that I would end up climbing trees for a living, I would have laughed!

Life is what you make of it, no need to get out of it, just change your approach. dont like working for a company for low wages, then go out there and make it happen, and it will!

 

That is right! you have make things happen.Life is not a spectator sport,it really pee's me of when people tell me how lucky i've been,you make your own luck.

Done many jobs for last 25 years..nothing i liked. Did army service , liked the challenge. Moved to Suffolk did btec in countryside managment (woodlands) got distinction in that ,fell in love with trees..now doing btec NA in arboricuiture at Otley for a year. 40 now..got the right career at last..need job at the end of the year thou..even if some think i may be to old!!
