It looks rough, but I bought mine 4 years ago for 3500, and its never missed a beat. I don't look after it very well but it goes fine! If the engine is ok and the bearings are greased then there is not much else to go wrong.

 

Sell the trailer as soon as you can cos they are a waste of a tow hitch IMO. Get an Iffor trailer and then you are taking two useful tools to site at once!

its good to go i use it regularly, just the rocker top and the rust dont do it any favors, the owner has been ill for a while. heart troubles and diabetes. he ows me some money and i can work off the rest.

 

its done just under 1000 hrs.

 

1000 hours is just about the lifespan of a Kholer command

if you dont want it ill have it... have you seen the junk on ebay?? wish i could find one for that price,i love those 252's auto sweep,great accses and some green teeth what more could you want on a grinder!a new engine is only going to cost a grand??

The log is there because the transport bracket has been lost. This happened on a regular basis at the last place I worked.They had 2 x252s. The Kohler engine is the biggest source of trouble on these stump grinders. Brilliant when they are running properly but a right pain when they're not.
