and i thought having to let one of the groundys go after he decided to argue over my decision for him to stay out of the way while trying to get a section of timber down safely and then for him to tell me that even though i was the bos that he was not going to do what i asked because although he has 3 months experience in this industry that he knew best because he used to be a fisherman for 20 years .

I think that saying goes- you cant polish a turd !!!!

oh and my mog is broken lol

I sympathise strongly with your plight but you may need to change your garage/mechanic.

I recently had the dual mass flywheel go on my transit (common fault) and it cost me £220 for the flywheel and 3 piece clutch kit (to convert it back to the old style and less crap single piece flywheel) and £115 to have the work done by my local van specialists.

That was £335 + VAT

A bit late I know but always worth shopping around.

PS a pair of discs and set of pads from Camberley Auto Factors cost £71.25 - I fitted them myself but an easy job. Find a tame mechanic and avoid Ford dealerships you'll save a forttune.

i asked for ford parts as they are the best i have used all maner of cheaper parts on an older truck not fun.

The thing that also cost was we had to fault find the problem send off the pump etc and of course i have to pay for their time. The pump alone was 800 and i dont have time to find cheaper just need the truck back earning.

The other expense is injectors if they are damaged 105 each times 4 equals 420

this is including the fkin vat i prob could get cheaper but once you commit to a garage i guess suck eggs time lol.

Still as long as it runs for 20000 then i get my money back trucks only got 45000 on it so some **** before must have ragged it.:confused1:

That's tough. It always seems to come at once like that.

I've just had to spend a load on mine, re-conditioned fuel pump and 4 new injectors. They have made the fuel pump so awkward to get to as well.

I don't think I'll get another Transit after this one.
