Many thanks for running the competition Monkey-D, looks like I need to brush up on my fungi ident. What book or books would you recommend (ISBN numbers if possible) to help me.

Thanks again

Your very welcome Ben.

Is a good way for me to revisit what I see and keep it fresh.

I generally use;

Michael Jordans - Encyclopedia of Fungi of Britain & Europe

Paper back ISBN is 0 7112 2379 3

Which is around £17

Gerrit J. KJeizers Complete Encyclopedia of Mushrooms

2nd edition (2007) Hard back ISBN 978 90 366 1598 3

retails for £13 but Amazon often have it at about a fiver.

The one that's out and about with me most of the time is,

Collins Complete guide to British Mushrooms & Toadstools (Sterry & Hughes)

Paperback ISBN 978 0 00 7232246

£17

On line I tend to use the Rogers A-Z quite a bit

Rogers Mushrooms | Mushroom Pictures & Mushroom Reference

Also some newish Arbs take on Mycology called TreeFung-ous or something.

Not very good though that one :sneaky2::blushing:

treefung-ous
