Iveco Daily's 2.3?

Looking for info. Has anyone used the newer Iveco Daily crew cab tippers for treework?

 

Specifically the 2.3 engined version?

iveco are excellent trucks. I had the 6.5 tonner version. They are a 2.8 though, not a 2.3.

They all used to be 2.8 which I know were very good trucks - but from 2005 onwards they do the Daily in a 2.3 and 3.0 version.

 

Suppose the 2.3 must be at least 120 hp? which would get most things done, just wonder how it would be towing a chipper as well as a ton of chips.

I wouldn't buy one, much better vehicles on the market imo, German or Japanese mate nothing else comes close!

On road i reckon youd be fine, off road they are about as good as a wet weekend in vladivostock.

I've had this 35C11D since 2001.

I've got the 4.5 ton version, year 2003, 2.8td. Definitely a good step up from a tranny or ldv. Handles a full load of chip very well - even when towing a large chipper:icon14:

No, I should have an operators licence, but a good friend of mine at the ministry kindly plated it as a 3.5t:icon14:
