This is an ad from the US company Davey from 1959, just goes to show they were miles ahead of Europe when it came to urban tree care. In fact you probably wouldn't even see an ad like this today in the UK.

So...where were we, here's a pic from the 40s/50s of treeworkers in the US dismantling a huge tree using a two man cross-cut saw. Pic courtesy of Robert Philips.
