From tree to bridge

I had an interesting job recently to make a Giverny style bridge.

I used some larch milled on our Woodmizer and air dried for a year. We had 100mm steel channel rolled to form the curve and then bolted the larch handrail to it.

To get it into position we fixed 4 wheel barrow wheels and rolled it over the stream on 2 youngman boards.

Definetly one of my more interesting jobs

Yes, the handrail is curved. Here is how I did it.

My fingers were not as close to the cutters as they look or I hope they weren't.:001_unsure::001_unsure::001_unsure:

Nice workshop mate! wish i had somewhere like that to go and waste a few days, every so often.:thumbup1:

Although with my woodworking skills I would be doing just that, wasting my time.
