i don't really give a t+ss.... i never owned a 361, i've never owned a 362, or the husky equiv.. so i've got nothing to compare it to,

as far as i'm concerned the 362 is great, i like it alot, it's got oodles of power, more than i'm used to, and i have no complaints...

now my 200t dropping oil all over the back of my D3 when left on it's side,, now that's a whole new matter......

rory, what problems they been having? anything major?

or just the usual "colour isn't as nice as the last model" :-)

No nothing major yet just alot of whineing about the extra little bit of weight, I just like to see a peice of kit prove it's self before I'l spend the cash on it, the old one is a better colour tho:biggrin:

  • 7 months later...

Looking to get a new saw to replace the Husqvarna 362xp....

I´m a bit of a Stihlman so thinking of getting one for the company.

I have used the 036 a lot and was well pleased with it. How is the new 262?

Similar or less power?

Any oldtimers thats in the know?

Anyone got anything to say about the saw, performance, weight, colour....?

I have a 361 and love it. Once the saw was run in I fitted the Oregon narrow kerf bar and chain kit - this lets the saw run wild with amazing speed through wood. It has a very nice balance and seems very stable in use. The only minor point is it can be a bugger to start for some reason :confused1:
