Help needed please

 

I have the chance to purchase a complete brand new lowering kit in the morning for £200...

 

I dont no any makes of the ropes or pulleys or anything that is included in the kit... its a brand new complete lowering kit for £200.

 

So some advice needed for the going price of a lowering kit and is the kit a bargain for £200?

 

I am buying a few other bits and pieces off him and the lowering kit is available also so some advice needed please!

Probably a flying capstan i would imagine,check for manufacturers marks etc,its a good price buy it and sell it on at a profit if it aint no good to you but it may well be bargain of the year good luck.

mate, I just spent around £500 on a basic lowering kit, rope, block, split tail, whoopie sling etc. £200 sounds well, too good to be true. Be careful with what you buy.

Sounds like a right bargain I couldn't get any where near that for a kit.

 

How many have they got. I might need a few at that price.

Ditto the above, I take it you have seen the kit, give it a check over, if all loks good, go for it.

have a quick look through a few on the net and see what the contain and their price then you'll know better yourself when you see it

 

dont buy rubbish just coz its cheap:thumbup1:

 

dose it come with all its paperwork for LOLER?

I would avoid buying used lowering ropes if I were you. You never know if they have been heavily shocked or loaded in the past so may have weaknesses you can't immediately see.

 

If they come with records of use and LOLER certs then you should be ok.

sounds like a bargain, if its brand new stuff just as others have said be careful that they are good quality products in working order with all right marks on them. i would check up on prices of all different items so you will have a rough idea when you see the kit if its a bargain
