I run two Echo 2511 and the exhaust covers are prone to melting then breaking apart.

Are there any aftermarket alternatives or solutions apart from going battery...?

What I do ty… take a drill and make a hole. Then take a larger drill bit say 9mm and enlarge. And you have a bigger outlet in the area that does not have plastic.
Don’t force it as it’s easy to drill out the other side of the exhaust!
It will liven the saw up a lot and make your exhaust guards last a bit longer.. don’t look at mine though as I’ve still smashed it to bits dropping it off those long recoil lanyards and had to order a new one this morning off Skylands… still it’s lasted me over 12 months at least instead of melting.
