Any body know about this?

 

Is this the first time its been done in the UK?

Have never seen or heard about it in the UK.

i would have said pdg were the ones with the expertise? not landmarc in that vid, but hey ho

 

 

whats with waiting for the heli to get back with the chains, why not have several sets on site, so those guys that are stood about waiting for the heli to come back could be setting up for the next lift then the heli isnt hovering waiting to be connect for so long, running up huge wasted time costs. Sorry looks a bit to relaxed compared to the airlifts i have been involved in,

Nah,have just always worked all over the place.Followed the big timber around in those days.

They had some cracking timber off that job.Iremember the fallers saying they had Silvers with around 1800 hoppus in them, thats almost 60 tonnes.A lot of big hardwood too.I was a measurer in those days, only 17.

inverary has still got some monster silvers, must be some you guys never got lol. argyll has some amazing trees, they grow them very big indeed, good soil and the gulf stream oh and plenty of glens and valleys so they really stretch for the sky. Did you do any work in the Loch Awe aea?
