Which way do you and Alex think it will go?

I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a modicum of truth in it to be honest.
A couple of coach loads of unprocessed individuals being temporarily held on site until a permanent location is finalised, obviously being downplayed/lied about by Haven.
I mean, imagine paying £1200 quid for a family holiday and then this happens, it would be a total walkout and refund wouldn’t it?

In fairness, Simon darling, you have steadfastly avoided giving any straight answer along the lines of, “I spoke to the wardens. They told me they’d seen the coaches with their own eyes.”

And you still haven't. I'm either way. You're being evasive. The papers are untrustworthy. I wouldn't even believe photos in fairness. They could easily be faked these days. I have to keep reminding myself that until I've seen it with my own eyes, in the flesh, and probably gone as far as touching it, I can't really believe it.

Fake news re Haven Holiday Park in Cleethorpes

From the Manchester Evening News :-

Haven holidays has issued a statement after false reports of asylum seekers moving into caravan parks began circling online.

The chain, which operates 38 holiday parks across the country and is particularly popular with families and children, has been the focus of posts across social media in recent days claiming 'coaches of men had been moving in'.

The holiday company has since categorically denied the claims on social media and said there is 'no truth' to the posts.

One post, seen by the Manchester Evening News, was shared on Facebook, which read: "Think that everyone should be made aware that Haven are now accommodating illegal immigrants all over the country," followed by angry face emojis.

Another clip, posted to TikTok titled 'Even Haven holiday park not safe now', claimed that 'two coach loads of men turned up' at the Cleethorpes Beach site.

A post on X read: "Two coach loads of immigrants recently arrived at Haven Cleethorpes. That's thousands of holidays ruined. Boycott Haven" as another read: "Just seen on FB that two busloads of young men have arrived at Haven Holiday Park in Cleethorpes. Is that ok?"

In a statement, Haven Holidays said holidaymakers had been in contact regarding a series of false social media posts, as they categorically denied the claims and said there is 'no truth' to the various posts.

So typically the holiday resorts are cleaned by people, these people do not live on site, but are - get this - bussed in in the morning - they then do cleaning.

One thing that has struck me when we were having a break at some is that the cleaners tend to be coloured - African or Asian descent.

So I guess if you were just passing the bus stop in the morning, a coach pulls up, 30 coloured cleaners get off I can see how you can be mistaken. Might be that if the observer was particularly stupid and not checking things out they'd go to the press with a poor photo and a bad observation - and the press, willing to sell papers to the idiots would go with the story without checking it out.

Typically holiday parks are run on a tight budget, do not have the cash set aside to pay fines for employing workers illegally - these bussed in workers are there legally and there, on minimum wage, to clean up others shit. Cannot afford cleaners stealing either, all will have been checked out properly.

Might be an observation on UK society on a whole but the only people wanting to clean up after others are immigrants, 'we' don't want to do it... and until we do we will need low paid immigrants willing to graft to make a better life for themselves.

It’s also the last week of the school holidays.

Apart from the occasional Northern Soul weekender etc, these places become deserted for large periods.
Why wouldn’t Haven cash in on the lucrative tax payer funded free for all?

Evasive? You've known me long enough to know that isn't my style young man.

Well go on then. Did the people who work there tell you directly that they had seen with their own eyes two buses of wogs the other day?
