Too late to Pollard???

Morning peeps

I've got a sycamore to pollard this week, and after felling a couple yesterday I noticed that the sap seems to be well and truly "rising".

What do you reckon about the Pollard this week, go ahead or postpone for a little while??

Cheers

Has the tree been maintained as a Pollard or are you "topping" a mature tree?

It wouldn't normally bother me too much but like I said the Syc I felled yesterday was well and truly wet when I took the stump down. I reckon I'll give it a go, point out to the clients the possible outcomes and go from there.

Thanks peeps
