Hi all,

I’m just in the process of trying to streamline all the office side of things for the business.

I run a medium sized company, generally have 2 teams out most days and have a a mix of commercial and domestic tree surgery work.

Work has gone a little quite the last few weeks and I’m looking to use this time to try and get a better system in place so I can link calendars and book in jobs more easily.

At the moment I am just using i calendar and booking in jobs that way. I have tried with Arbpro but found the system to convoluted for my liking but maybe this can be worked out with a bit of fine tuning.

My partner would be happy to help me out and could deal with some of the office side of things and book in appointments for me but we would need a system to work from that linked up with one another.

I’m just wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation and if you have found a way to take some of the stress and time out of paper work?

 Thanks in advance people.

We run everything through gmail/workspace/calender, we don't have any integration for invoicing and use QB separately. Using Google makes everything pretty slick.

We hardly phone/text quotes through to clients but send quotes out via email, then you can just add them to Google calender as they accept.

Dont know if this is the best way  always looking to speed up the process like yourself

@Pete Mctree did you have any joy streamlining your stuff?

@John Shutler is normally on the ball with this kind of stuff as well.

Can’t help you personally I’m afraid Badger, I’m a bottle of red in, full of roast lamb, A4 week to view diary open in front of me, sending messages to freelancers trying to sort out the week after next!

@Mick Dempsey is similar to me I believe, but he’s in France.

Currently passed out after that inadvisable 3rd bottle of red.

I don’t think that running a 1 team business really needs too much sophisticated tech help.
As Mark stated, an A4 diary for work and appointments seems sufficient, as long as you actually write stuff down!

Have a look at Time Tree, its a free app that allows you to share multiple calendars, I used it to cordinate work, family and 2 bands with several musicians!

Ahh thanks guys appreciate that. I will take a look at time tree and see if that works for me.

Thanks Mark and Mick, I too much perfume the pen and paper life myself but it’s seems as though I must move forward into the new age of media.

Thanks Excels1or. I will see if my partner is familiar with google calendars etc as this may be the route to take.

If I discover anything new that saves time in this area I shall let you all know because paperwork is the absolute bane of my life.

 Appreciate the help 👍
