The plot I rent in Suffolk is passed for residential which means I have to pay the lowest Council tax, band A. If my bins aren't emptied for two weeks due to staff illness and vehicle breakdowns should I withhold that 2 weeks Council tax or suck it up?  I've not seen a copper, or road sweeper/maintenance person since I've been back down here. There is no, zero streetlights in the village. If I am being a Karen can someone tell me what I'm paying for?

Just wait for your new bin schedule to arrive, 3 weeks for everything.

Sad, seeing as they make money off my recycling, you'd expect that daily if they're short of cash!.

Unless you pay for green it's practically weekly!.

My pension kicks in next April when I'm 55 from the water authority I worked for, they had been privatised by the time I got there mind.

What do you mean by plot?  If it used to have a house on it but that's been demolished, you can get it deleted from the council tax list.  Land plots with planning permission for a house, a partially built house or even a house that's being substantially rebuilt shouldn't pay council tax.

I hate streetlights in any village.

If you don't pay, you don't get bins.

Presumably he's got permission for a caravan during building, so gets band A and bins.
