Hi, got done over last night, based in north northants. 2014 Quad chip 160 with very low hours (apporx 100) as the control box was changed recently and in the distant past the chute was removed by driving under a low arch, so its been welded back on. Also gone missing stihl 660, husky 372, husky 562, husky 550, husky 540, 2 x echo 2511, stihl blower, makita battery saw,  plus 4 x climbing kits, rigging kit. BASTARDS.

Police weren't interested, but we got the saws back

So did you go to the seller and just take them back or did you have to buy them ? ( as plod was not interested )

Did they give them up voluntarily or did you need to apply a bit of persuasion?

They weren't the ones that stole them, they were an ebay shop with approx 300 other used tools on. They actually gave them up voluntarily after we turned up at their lockup, threatened to get the police down there ( they didn't know police weren't interested)

Did you have any identifying markings on your kit or did they just take your word for what was yours ?

yes had the serial numbers of a few from ordering spare parts etc, and lots of pictures of all the nicks and breaks on them. That's how first noticed my husky 560 on ebay.
