Ahh, I was just about to ask where you'd planted those, at first glance it looked outsidey, like on a big porch. But then on closer inspection I noticed the window and the rug.

I'm just wondering how hardy avocadoes can be. Mine are chomping at the bit to get back outside for the summer.

My brother kept an Avocado tree going for years. 10 of so. He kept it in the poly tunnel over winter then moved it out in summer. The extremities used to die back each time, almost back to the base a couple of times, but he'd just cut the dead off and it would sprout back with vigour. Then one spring it never came back. I think he watered it too much over winter, or it was a particularly cold one.

I had one rooted in a pot a d intertwined with a Oak seedling.

I planted the Oak( and Avocado) out sometime of an April.

There was 1 nights frost.

The Avocado melted!

A favour for our next door neighbour, after a somewhat tense situation yesterday over where the boundary was.

The bloke who was fir doing the  fencing had come many meters out into to our ground to get a lazy clean line.

Plus they were for obliterating our visibility splay with a 5' high fence.

So a good will gesture on my part.

Fingers crossed the fence is put on the revised line, that  I was told it was now to be put on.

I’d make sure I was there on the day it gets installed. Had a similar situation with developers next to me - full blown told them to F off when they were going to pull out my less than 18month old 6ft close boarded fence and install a 7ft one further over into mine to “straighten the line”.

Bollocks will you! Made them erect their fence almost touching mine - not fussed about the height. Then I planted Leylandi and Laurels all along the boundaries.

They hated me already as I purchased two gardens that they were after to put another house on. I offered my neighbours the same price and I’ve planted it all up with fruit trees interspersed with log storage structures

This thread is fully in keeping with my recent  gibber, mutter an twitch ADHD diagnosis.

Plus it saves polluting any other threads.

P.S.

Rapelaman,

I cancelled another task I had had committed to fir today, to be about, and will also be keeping a rather close eye on progress on Monday.
