Please can anyone help with identifying this wood? I got it from a tree surgeon roadside. They said it was sycamore but I’ve go no real idea. I do know it was really heavy lifting it into the van!

I presume that is spalting (is that the right name?) In it? I have some rounds drying from other species that have the same look for garden table coasters etc
