I hate the Android OS and am pretty invested in Apple.  Having a a couple of MacBooks and an iMac in the house makes everything pretty seamless.

I recently changed my phone, something I don't do often. I am now on my second iphone, currently a 15. Not long ago I was paying with applepay in a shop with my previous phone, an iphone7. The shopkeeper could not believe my phone was so old as it still looked like new. Simple really, I kept in in a neoprene pouch, never took it up the tree etc. Only changed as the speaker was failing (not just fluff blocking it), and was nearing the time of no more security updates.

 

My younger son is a software developer and always preferred android. Once he changed jobs and the new firm used apple he quickly concluded he preferred it and felt the hardware was better quality.

There was a thing last night, think it was whatsapps are stopping support for iphone 15 I think it is. just in case your new phone is an old phone, it is worth checking what will run or not
