Growing Rowan from collected berries/seed

Well I harvested a good amount of berries, from the local area, from lots of different trees, to hopefully mix up the genetics a bit and leave the majority on the tree for the birds.

Patented fruit and berry picking device, put it round your neck -  handsfree!

Mashed them up, rinsed them through a sieve loads of time to try and remove as much of the pulp as possible, then mixed half and half with sharp sand, into pots covered with mesh to hopefully keep the wildlife off. They will be left outside all winter. Also filled a ziplock bag with the seed sand mixture, and put that in the bottom of the fridge to leave until the new year.

I've grown rowan trees from berries by just throwing the berries around. No need to do much really.

What island was that? (which is going to lead on to, has it got many rowan?)
