This was late last night, but I didn't want to keep anyone awake with the excitement.

Picking the seeds out of hundreds of lupin pods.

Did the evening primroses a few days ago, and I'll be doing the snapdragons later this week hopefully.

F*ck YEAH, bro! Save those seeds. Are those for planting, or snacking on?

My collection is growing, I have the husks and pods saved and mixed together as well, I'll toss them around in a bucket of soaked compost and drizzle it down the side of the lane. There's bound to be stragglers stuck to the debris, something will sprout.

Been at this for a while.

American  wall clock circa 1890. Case and face beyond repair, movement not working, hence a bargain in a local bric-a-brac shop.

Movement cleaned and adjusted to function and pendulum spring hanger repaired. Mounted on a 1950's Brazilian cruise ship souvenir tray.(educated guesswork!).

It's got a lovely sound and not too intrusive.

Not finished yet, bell for chime to be found and fitted and tray to be polished and varnished, so down it must come at some stage.

Not pottering as this was very much planned, but my turn for some clockwork.

A children's, (or maybe Dad's more likely), clock kit. It's a triumph of plywood engineering, all laser cut. Amazingly intricate. I guess it's Birch ply. It's even got an adjustable pendulum, made up from lots of little constituent parts.

It's challenging with a mega impatient 5 year old but we're making good steady progress.
