went to myerscough college today, had dinner in wifes discovery, somehow managed to lock the car up leaving the keys in the ignition.. doh

didn't want to break any glass (its cold on the motorway), managed to bend drivers doorframe down like a carthief enough to get an arm in to pull lock up, now door lets wind in as bad as the defender so i'll have to bend it back properly tomorrow.. felt really stupid:blushing:

had to borrow a wheelbrace to get fingers in, then squashed my fingers haha, then used a stick to wedge in while wheelbracing the top, then squashed wrist/arm reaching for the lock, scratched pillar a bit, worst of all i rang the wife while doing it so inadvertently owner up to damaging the car

Ive done that before on my cabstar. With your knee in the middle of the door it bent back dead easy. Cabstar might be a little flimsy compared to a disco though

Thats because its made out of tin foil and chewing gum james :001_tongue::biggrin:

I locked myself out of the FreeLander I used to have. After an early start, stopped outside Abergavenny in a laybye for a pee, slammed the door and everything locked. Engine running, radio on, phone going and it was minus 4degrees C. I'm in shirtsleeves! Nightmare!

Done this to many times. Buy a spare key, soak it in oil, wrap it in a plastic bag, put it in a sealed box and cable tie it to the chassis. saved me loads of times.

lol, been there done that so many times. glad you got it sorted mate

my record was 2 times in the one day:blushing:locked the keys in, walked for 30 mins across the fields home, got a lift back with spare keys, opened the door, somehow locked both the keys in, ran down the road to stop my mum, lift home again and lift back with 3rd set. The joys of being easily exciteable and hyper active as well when i was 17:laugh1:
