Yep, I watched a documentary on this area of tectonic activity some years ago where much like the Hawaiian islands are being produced by the mantle slowly moving over a weak spot in the crust, or something like that?... this area is similar in that there has been a series of well documented seismic events heading along a major fault East to West and the next big one [ which this probably isn't ] is predicted to devastate Istanbul... we really have evolved on and do live on the skin of the rice pudding..
