What do I put on your College report Joe.. :confused1:

...first day of industrial placement had to go home early, used up large wound dressing on his finger then caused me a load of hassle filling in incident report forms...

Hope you heal quick pal, got a Birch reduction for you tomorrow :001_tongue:

Hi Joe(?), ooooow that hurts!

Trust it will be entered in the 'accident book' with some degree of investigation undertaken to id the 'root cause' (forgive the pun). Sounds obvious I know but it's unlikley it's just an accident...something failed somewhere to make it happen and that needs to be established, understood and, if necessary, risk assessments reviewed accordingly...mmm!

Now back to polishing my 'NEBOSH' cert...('anorak'!)

Get well soon and needless to say don't going sticking it anywhere you shouldn't and risking infection!

the bow saws wouldnt fit into any crotches so you never had much risk of cutting yourself as they sat in the van most of the time:laugh1:

Rubbish did a big round over on a fastigiate hornbeam once when the chainsaw broke, and they was great on connie hedges, lethal though. I can count my chainsaw cuts on one hand (fortunatley) bow saw silky cuts lost count!:001_rolleyes:

cheers for all the messages guys, just got back from the pub but only had 2 pints and a 16oz steak because of work in the morning.

how it happened - i was making a cut and holding onto the branch below where i was cutting and i wasn't paying quite my full attention to the cut, as i finished the cut the silky carried on to my finger :blushing:, my own fault really, but i was stropped in and tied in with my main line, and even though it was only a very small tree i'm glad i had my main line so i could descend quickly and get the bandage out the first aid kit off the back of my harness! :001_smile:

I cut myself a beauty on a bowsaw when i was about 12, and still have a really gnarly scar down my finger to this day....i think that a silky would have been far worse though.
