Look at the woodland mills too. The new Honda powered model must be similar capacity to that logosol and if you’re looking for a manual mill I’d say there’s no point paying double the price for logosol. Obviously if you want to add hydraulics later then logosol will be easier.

My 130MAX has been accurate and very profitable at 4k. I’d have bought the larger one if it was around when I bought, but I don’t plan to upgrade currently.

Not seen the new Honda version 🤔

how do you get along with belts on your 130 max ?

im finding they don’t last too long compared to the old standard 130,

mind you I’ve pushed it pretty hard.

If your budget stretches then go logosol the one andy purchased has really stood up to weathering outside. The woodlands are ok but nowhere near the quality build a logosol offers. They rust in no time if not covered up, If you get big logs then i would get the larger model i think trigger was looking at those at one time.

Yes I agree and the B1001 is a heavier build construction than the B751 and the additional width can't make that much difference to milling speed. Sounds like 23hp is ample power as it will be fairly rare milling anywhere near full width.  I have a Panther on a 660 if the need arises.   Panther is great for slabs but even with the intersect which I have, milling accurate dimensional timber is not easy.    It would be luxury having a decent mill.     Deciding where demand lies for particular forms of milled timber is something I am unsure of still ?     Someone on here will now what the best sellers are hopefully.

Extra width will make all the difference to how fast the saw will cut. The blades will also need to be set and sharpened well. I’ve found a wide set up is far less forgiving than the narrower ones.

Yup, mine is set up inside which is keeping it tidy. That said, a bit of rust won’t stop it from being accurate.

What’s the current price on a manual logosol mill with 23hp?

I’ve got maybe 200 hours on it and I’ve not had to change a belt or bearing yet.

I looked it was around £10500 plus vat without the extras

That’s good going, my drive belt was goosed after about 15hrs. The original 130 I had they lasted a good while but for some reason I seem to be going through them in no time. The issue manifests itself in the form of the tracking going off and the bands migrating to front of the wheel. I’ll possibly try and get some better quality replacements and see how it pans out.
