Unique Problem? - New Clutch is getting hot and bogging under load

TBH, I really don't know anymore and I have about as much a clue on this subject as on Quantum Mechanics.

A 250 only has one bar nut, but you should be able to twang the chain and see about half the drive link.

Yes both the clutch and drive sprocket.

That's the max bar length on your small saw.

As a guy who processed 1000s of tonnes with a 18" 251 over the decades, you're pushing it too hard by the sounds of it.

 

At best I might have sharpened 1-2 times a day, it's not a race so let the saw almost fall through the wood.

 

Learn to listen to the saw, watch the chip size and how they flow, try to aim for an almost constant sound level without the up/down and bogged down.
