A540T hydraulic pump

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

My A540T lost hydraulic drive, it had been running fine then just stopped all hydraulic function. The rollers still go around very slowly, the track motors move but don't rotate (even witht the tracks removed) We checked the filter, which is clear, oil is a little grey but looks as it should, no filings in the filter housing. So, I expect it's the pump gone. But, when I do a part search from the manual it says the pump is belt driven, it's mounted to the engine so unless there's an internal belt, which seems unlikely. So, anyone know the part number for a hydraulic pump to fit? Or better still, a quick and cheaper fix that I've not thought of!

Thanks, Tristan.

As it's a Kubota engine it's probably driven off the lower pulley on the front of the engine via a spider coupler.

Lift the hood and the bottom pulley, most pumps have details on them identify type etc.

The 540 manual says 19307 as a part number for the track. Page 92/93

540T oil pump is driven off the end of the injector pump, changed one when it pumped its hydraulic oil into the sump and started to run on its own oil, nearly blew the engine, Cannot remember the pump number, graham fawcett plant supplied a replacement but that only lasted about a year
