You have made me want to try to fit new handles on a couple of old axe heads myself, what could possibly go wrong.

That looks great. I must say: I'm quite envious, wish I had more time for projects like that.

Not quite up to the same skill level but I make my own handles for The Boys throwing axes (a slightly shaped stick essentially). Appear to last as long as any I have bought.
