Walbro carb problem

If I am not mistaken that is the check valve for the purge, have you removed a Welsh plug from the from over the high jet nozzle ?

Ah. No I have not removed anything, if it were why would it connect to both the main jet and the HI adjusting screw passage? Either way it passes air both ways when I place a plastic tube over it and blow and suck.

Does it purge normally when reconnected to the bulb? I am sure that is the check valve for the purge so should not be able to suck and blow through it.

And...the check valves I have removed are driven in to the main bore of the carb where they can be shaken out. The check valve is the brass bit!

I take it the carb is off the 026? There is no purge or otherwise on the 026

No the026 was a thread divergence, I fixed that and am now back on the faulty carb from the Einhell/spear&jackson

It did but as the carb is off the saw it is not connected. This saw has a remote bulb with one way valves in the bulb body. I have marked the outlet hole for the purge circuit in blue.

I agree with adw, the check valve (red circe) is to stop the purge bulb from sucking air through the various jets - its so much easier to suck air than fuel.

Where's the fuel feed to the low speed circuit ? Is that through the same check valve (red circle) as high speed circuit ? 

Also agree the brass main jet looks odd, looks like its pressed in too far. Does it protrude a long way into the carb throat?

This is an interesting turn of events as if that check valve has been pushed in too far, it will most likely cut off the petrol feed to the thing.

You could tap it through with a drift and then refit it so it is level with the lip you can see in the pic. If you are careful, you may be able to lever it out from inside the bore if it isn't too tight but I would knock it through if there is internal clearance to do so.
