Good idea, I have already contacted the forstry commission and the forest of avon about volunteering

Well firstly the OP is female. 
 

Because hanging around (or as you suggest sitting on a car bonnet) in full gear waiting to be approached is a bit weird. 
If someone did that on my job I’d assume they were mental frankly.

So why not just go up to the job site and ask for the boss?

Isn’t that showing more hustle that hanging around at a distance

 looking odd?

Its gone abit weird again 😂

 

Got an image of someone in full PPE sat on car bonnet maybe also ocassionally blipping a chainsaw  doing  lunges and a few neck rolls etc   "watching".

Ps, you might not hear from me for a while, currently sitting on my car bonnet in full camo parked outside Stirling lines in the hope of a job.
