Tbh I diddnt realize vanlife included caravans, I thought it was more people converting regular panel vans to campers, maybe ready made ones like a transporter California at a push

It is converted panel vans as far as I know. The whole point is that you can stealth camp without folk knowing.  They would hear me snoring so it’s not for me.

I like the idea of overlanding in a converted defender though out in the wilderness though.  Africa, the arctic, that sort of caper.

I'd go for one of those dogs bllocks Man trucks if it was a proper overlanding trip.

It gets better and better this van life, the yard/unit I’m renting is bang on top, police were here before Christmas looking for the landlord, they’ve been here twice again today looking for him, National Grid are on there way to cut the electric supply off because the soft lad has bypassed the meter. Still living the dream!

Where there’s a will, there’s a way! Twenty six hundred quid later and working with torches we now have power again. My genny, it’ll be sold or coming with me when I move, which can’t be soon enough. Just got to find somewhere to go now…

Better again, HMRC bloke looking for the landlord yesterday, two bailiffs here this afternoon, it’s only going in one direction… still living the dream, I only needed it to last until April, I can’t see that happening!

I was going to say you have to be pretty desperate to bypass the electric meter, sounds like he was pretty desperate on all fronts.

44 KVA genny, way bigger than we need doing 5 litres/hour to power a workshop and three trailers is a killer at the moment, but needs must.
