Morning guys, my youngest whose 16 was the same, 5 alarms  going off from 7am when he would get up at 7.50am to get the bus at 8am, he’d sleep through them and I’d be lying in bed in a rage 2 bedrooms up.  I had enough and told him to set 1 for 7.50am, next day he missed the bus and had to wait out in the cold for an hour till the next 1 then explain himself to school.  He’s not been late since.  And if he is again then he can sort himself out.

snow here this morning, good to see after all the rain we’ve had, firm up the ground a bit.  Giving myself social media ban from Tik tok, insta, FB and linkdn today.  I’ve been on them for about 8 hours a day over the festivities so a day of pottering is in order.

I'm the same, I can't do the first alarm. Second or third, minimum, for me. My wife hates it.

Got a call from a guy I sub for yesterday, I'm being dragged away from my week off a day early... I'm back to work tomorrow instead of Monday. Oversize leylandii has collapsed onto someone's stately home, needs helping down to the ground.

I don't mind, it's been a lazy enough two weeks.

Have a good one!

Nice. Three days teaching English as foreign language in Monaco (not my cup of tea), then two days working remotely as an architect for a firm in Glasgow. How the internet has changed so many things eh?

Mad, innit. I keep trying to think of ways to implement remote working for myself, but it doesn't really work. I can't find a slot big enough on the laptop for even the pruning saw.

Five days in Nice... it's interesting to see new places, but I think 5 days in Nice and Monaco would be more than enough for me. I spent a few days there once taking on provisions for a yacht delivery across the Med, we couldn't sail out of the place fast enough.

Two big local dishes, pissaladiere, a pizza base topped with caramelised onions, anchovies, and black olives, absolutely freaking delicious, and socca, a dry, tasteless, crumbly pancake made of chickpea flour, topped with... salt. Most pointless f*cking food ever.
