Just be aware that your after market kill wire has no insulation on the terminal and is connected to the earth cut out on the ignition unit, there is a chance of tracking out with all that crap sitting in there.

Warming the plug is an old school method of starting a reluctant or semi flooded engine. It has the effect of drying a wet plug and also helps vapourise any wet fuel that lands on it when pulling over the engine. 

Oh....and it works rather well!

75 psi compression. I think the decomp might be knackered.

Add another 90 odd psi and you are in the right ball park .

If the compression is really that bad (and not caused by the gauge) I'd have thought you would see piston wear. What's it look like down the exhaust port?

 

If the decomp has been pushed in then obv compression will be low....
