Non Genuine Pots & Pistons - any good?

Anyone fitted pots and pistons to saws from makes such as Meteor? Any experiences good or bad? Ta.

Fitted a few John to knackered saws, got em from a dealer of the bay, half price and just as good, mu 066 at the moment was bought knackered, spent 100 quid on a pot n piston kit and its been faultless for 12 months.

Did the same as IC Trees to a 044, all seems good, no loss of power or anything, all good!

did the same as above i think the bloke on ebay is a seller from greece but know problems just cheap pistons and rings that do the job. can always try rubbing pots down if not to bad

Theres a dealer on flebay, Garden hire spares/spares for all seasons, i got all my pots/pistons from him, based in the midlands somewhere, very helpful.

used garden hire spares on fleabay a few times only for piston rings though,very helpfull & goods are delivered in days

i need a pot meself so let us know how you get on with the after market set

the one i got from him on ebay for 3120xp the pot and piston fitted fine. but the piston would just hit the top of the pot so you needed to put a extra gasket on to raise it up that extra bit.

I think I uses the same guy on fleabay, no problems. Quick delivery, helpful and no probs with my 346xpg since. Friend on mine fitted it and he said it looked like a decent bit of kit and was a third of the price of genuine husky (could go through 3 if they don't last and still be quids in!)

been through 3 since december, its in the shop more than i use it, i hate my saw!!
