Not really large equipment really but I'm looking to get a splitter to start doing firewood on off days. These are the ones I'm looking at. They look grand for the price.

We've got the 22 tonne, they're currently using our picture as their main website pic. Really good equipment, well thought out. They definitely split quicker with 2 of you on it at once, but you'll be doing well to be able to split more than 3/4 m3 in a day

Just remember its only towable off road.

I bought one very similar to that years ago and welded road tow suspension to it . DSCF0014.jpg.a08d6928c2c2b9d02c611d6aa9f7c6cd.jpg

Wasn't there a 2006 cut off date? If in use before then and lawful then exempt

2012 but that would be a major alteration & prior to the change it was not a road going trailer.

I didn't remember it was that late.

Back before then you could buy all the bits from Indespension, bolt it together and use it. If it grossed less than 750kg then it didn't need brakes but I thought it did need suspension if it went over 20mph.

I'm just scrapping my pre 1986 Bateson tipper because you can't get tyres for it anymore and it would need an IVA if I changed the wheels and axles.
