Every time I 'straight out balls speedlining' I just melt my rope. what rope you using ?

I’ll be honest if I do bomb it out speed line it will usually be with a large pinto pulley on to give it some speed , I really don’t like crabs unless it’s a near vertical job as if you need a branch out of a crowded crown they have a tendency to stick just like hunickes did … so if I was going to make a job out of it its why I would predominantly use a controlled speed line and do three four small bits in a row off the rigging plate pulley set up and they pull it all back for the next lot instead of you having to pull up your own climbing line with all the slings on just makes life easier … for big lumps being able to control speed and not melt ropes would be why it’s the preferred too.

Yeb, krabs and a really tight line for small branches, pulley and slightly saggy line for bigger stuff.

In some situations I can manage a whorl of 6 spruce branches individually slung to one pulley.
