194 mods

Hello, new here. I've got a 194t I've had for a while now and I want to have some fun with it and have looked into some stuff and wondering if anyone knows where I could send it (within the UK) to have it ported and a exhaust mod done. As if I did either of those myself it'd be a mess. But is there any other tweaks I could do myself that arent to technical? Thanks

I had most of my saws ported by Spud but he has kinda retired now and Crocky has taken over @Crocky

I think exhaust mod is the first thing really,  so if you're not up for that then not much to do except keep it clean, keep air filter clean, and keep the chain razor sharp.

Not sure what gains from porting, usual thing seems to be exhaust mod and slight ignition advance.

The 194 is a bit different. It’s a clamshell crank case / cylinder set up. It can be ported but can’t be machined the same so the gains aren’t as good because I can’t build more compression into it. I am looking at experimenting with one to see what’s the best out it but for now I would suggest a muffler mod and ignition advance. That’ll give it a bit more power.

PM me if you want to speak about getting booked in.

Thanks

Mark
